Origin Story
Origin Story
Nyungwe washing station is nestled in Rwanda’s Nyamasheke District, near the southeastern edge of Lake Kivu. Recently upgraded with new milling equipment, the station now supports over 2,000 smallholder farmers and ran at full capacity for the first time since opening in 2006. Coffee is grown between 1666–1850 masl, where rich soil, cool climate, and high altitude contribute to exceptional cup quality. Ripe cherry is hand-selected using floatation before processing, ensuring consistent sweetness and vibrant acidity.
